Advanced skin imaging technology has arrived in Geelong, offering a faster, smarter, and more precise approach to routine skin checks.
The Vectra WB360 utilises more than 90 cameras to create a highly detailed 3D model of the body.
Through regular check-ups, it can map and flag pigment regions on the skin. The machine uses AI to monitor and track pigmented areas, accurately predicting which lesions are harmful.
The machine can scan your body in milliseconds, with the overall procedure taking around five minutes. It’s over before you know it!
By combining cutting-edge imaging with artificial intelligence, WB360 Mapping significantly reduces the risk of human error and adds an extra layer of confidence in the early detection of potentially dangerous skin lesions – often before changes are visible to the naked eye.
Geelong Cats legend Cameron Ling spent much of his life outdoors and is a strong advocate for the new technology.
“As a premiership captain, you’ve got to read the play early, spot danger before it happens, and that’s exactly what the new Vectra body scanner does for you. It picks up any changes before they become a problem,” he explains.
“This 3D mapping system catalogues every spot on your body and creates a 3D avatar powered by AI to help track even the smallest changes.”
This innovative technology is now available at Pioneer Skin Doctors, the first of its kind in Geelong and the Western District.
